Take a few body measurements to help compare with a garment’s own size information. This guide explains where to measure; it does not assign measurements to apparel sizes.
Use a flexible, non-stretch tape and wear light, close-fitting clothing. Stand naturally and breathe normally. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug all the way around without pressing into your skin. Record the unit shown on the tape and use that same unit when comparing measurements.

Find your natural waist, usually the crease where your torso bends when you lean to one side. Measure around that point without pulling your stomach in; keep the tape comfortably snug while you breathe normally.
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat. Check that the tape is level all the way around before recording the measurement.
